Digital Painting Workshops

I am excited about the three workshops being offered this year. Each workshop will feature the work of some of my favorite masters from the past and will specialize in the unique style of that great master artist. Because each workshop will be entirely different it is possible that you may wish to consider attending more than one workshop. If that is the case, your second workshop will be provided with a 50% discount.

The workshops will be held at the 1790′s Butler Greenwood Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana. Go to www.butlergreenwood.com and there you will see just how beautiful our residence for the week will be. A special room rate is available for all workshop attendees. For those flying in the Baton Rouge Regional Airport is 30 miles from the plantation.
Workshop #1
The Impressionist….Monet & Renoir
A great way to get introduced to Darrell’s painting style. You will learn the loose brushstroke that revolutionized art. Special attention will be given to Monet’s landscape and Renoir’s treatment of women and children.
Workshop #2
Portrait Painting like Rembrandt & Sargent
No one made a greater contribution to portrait painting than did these two masters. We will study in depth their techniques and then duplicate it using Painter. Special attention will be given to working with the face and with the texture of clothing. Of all of the subjects available to the artist, portraits offer the greatest profitability.
Workshop #3
Landscapes, Still Life, Abstract, Traditional Oil and Pastel Painting, Marketing Art
Art is all around us. The challenge is in recognizing it. This workshop will be totally different than any other. We will go on safaris to find art for art’s sake. Special attention will be given to the after-printing process of hand-oil application and finishing. Marketing strategies will become the final touch.
These workshops are like none you have ever attended. Each is designed to custom-fit your needs. You will leave well prepared to create art and especially become prepared to create income.
